Principles of Yoga

Yoga is a discipline that is focused on striking a concord between one’s soul and body. It is the art and science of living healthy. The term ‘yoga’ has been derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Yuj’ which means ‘to join’ or ‘unite’. Since the practice of this discipline ensures the union of one’s inherent consciousness with the universal one, its name makes perfect sense. According to spiritual scientists, an individual who witnesses this unification within their soul and body is able to achieve the final enlightenment or ‘Moksha’.
